Der Kachelofen als Ph\u00e4nomen hat eine sehr lange Geschichte, aber vor allem im 18.\u00a0Jahrhundert entwickelte er sich zu einer weit verbreiteten W\u00e4rmequelle in den H\u00e4usern der Schweden. Die fr\u00fchen Kachel\u00f6fen waren nicht besonders w\u00e4rmeeffizient und verbrauchten viel Holz. Da es im Land aufgrund des Bergbaus und des Eisenumschlags an Brennholz mangelte, machte sich der schwedische Staat Sorgen \u00fcber den hohen Brennstoffverbrauch. Es war der schwedische K\u00f6nig, der 1767 seiner Akademie, der K\u00f6niglich Schwedischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, den Auftrag gab, eine holzsparende W\u00e4rmequelle zu entwickeln. Die Architekten Carl Johan Cronstedt und Fabian Wrede entwickelten schlie\u00dflich die Idee mit f\u00fcnf Rauchgasrohren und einer hohen Feuerkammer, wodurch man eine hochgradige Verbrennung und die M\u00f6glichkeit erhielt, die W\u00e4rme der Rauchgase optimal zu nutzen.<\/p>\n

Der moderne Kachelofen war erfunden! Auch heute noch sind die Prinzipien des Kachelofens die gleichen und es gibt nur wenige W\u00e4rmequellen mit festen Brennstoffen, die den gleichen Wirkungsgrad und die geringen Emissionen erreichen wie diese geniale Konstruktion.
