Just as brilliant even today.<\/strong><\/h4>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The tiled stove has a very long history, but it is mainly during the 18th century that it became a common source of heating in Swedish homes. The early stoves were not very heat efficient and consumed a lot of wood. As there was a shortage of wood in the country due to mining and iron processing, the Swedish state was concerned about the high fuel consumption. It was the King of Sweden who, in 1767, ordered his academy, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, to develop a wood-saving heat source. Architects Carl Johan Cronstedt and Fabian Wrede then developed the idea of five flue ducts and a high fireplace, thanks to which a high degree of combustion was achieved, as well as an opportunity for maximum utilisation of the heat from the flue gases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The modern tiled stove was invented! Even today, the principles of the stove are the same and there are few solid-fuel heat sources that can achieve the same efficiency and low emission levels as this ingenious design.
